  • Today’s data will show that the EZ economy was resilient in Q1, and that inflation rose, a bit, in April.
  • We still think the ECB will hike by 50bp next week, but the Q2 bank lending survey is a key swing factor.
  • The ESI was less upbeat than the PMI in April, but still points to resilience at the start of Q2.
